about the park

PRISTINE BEACHES & VIBRANT HISTORY

Just minutes from historic St. Augustine, Anastasia State Park offers over four miles of pristine white-sand beaches, diverse coastal habitats, and a deep connection to Florida’s past. Once the site of an ancient coquina quarry used to build the Castillo de San Marcos, the park now welcomes visitors to enjoy swimming, surfing, paddling, hiking, and wildlife watching across its 1,600 acres.

Kayak, paddleboard, and bicycle rentals are available, making it easy to explore the tidal marshes, winding trails, and breathtaking shoreline. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or adventure, Anastasia State Park is a place where history and nature come together.
